Week of Science & Technology supports local food for healthy lifestyles

The 2020 National Science and Technology (2020 NSTW) goes on with the celebration, but in virtual mode this time, as we transition to the new standard. The Department of Science and Technology Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) is participating in this annual event with the launch of an interactive trivia game on food and nutrition, Nutriflix.

Watching audio-visual presentations is a fun and exciting way of learning more about food and nutrition (AVP). After each AVP, Trivia questions are posted and each of the first five individuals to provide a correct answer will receive a cell phone load of 100 pesos as their reward. In this way, participants will be able to learn more about proper nutrition and the numerous DOST-FNRI programs that will benefit from maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially during the pandemic.

"Kayo po ay matututo at e-enjoy mag. Sana po ay maging kaisa namin kayo sa pagsulong ng wastong nutrisyon at tamang pagkain, para lahat po tayo ay maging malusog, after our Nutriflix.' she said. Ms. Brenda L. Nazareth-Manzano, Undersecretary for Regional Activities, and DOST Secretary Fortunato de la Peña were also present at the Nutriflix Institute in support of the case
