What to watch during quarantine for fresh and good vibes

We all need an escape from reality especially these days. You might just want to lie down your bed underneath your fuzzy blanket and watch something that can make you feel light. Well, here's my top four binge-watch worthy shows and movies that you might want to add to your queue!

1. Anne with an E
This TV show has been my favorite netflix show of all time! You'll fall in love with Anne's words and bravery. The cinematography is scrumptious to look at too!

Synopsis:
In 1896, elderly brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert (who live together as they never married) decide to adopt an orphan boy to help out around their ancestral farm of Green Gables, on the outskirts of the Canadian town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. When Matthew goes to pick the child up at the railway station, he finds 13-year-old Anne Shirley, an imaginative, bright, high-spirited, and talkative girl, instead (an orphan since her parents died when she was a few months old, Anne lived as a servant in various households before being placed in an orphanage).

While Matthew decides he would like for her to stay, Marilla does not trust Anne, given her status as an unknown orphan, and the perceived uselessness of a young girl. Her distrust appears confirmed when Marilla cannot locate a brooch, thus leading her to believe that Anne is a thief. The Cuthberts send her away, thus "returning" her to the orphanage. While she does arrive back at the orphanage, she is terrified to enter, haunted by bullying she had endured there, and returns to the train station. Meanwhile, Marilla discovers that the brooch had been misplaced rather than lost, and that prejudice had led her to believe Anne was a thief. Matthew consequently finds Anne and convinces her to return to Green Gables, where she is officially made part of their family. However, Anne continues to face bullying from students in the Avonlea school, and class-based discrimination from Diana's parents and others in Avonlea. Anne once again returns to her survival mechanisms of imagination, intelligence, and problem-solving abilities that eventually lead to her acceptance by the rest of the community.

2. Little Women
Synopsis:
In the years after the Civil War, Jo March lives in New York and makes her living as a writer, while her sister Amy studies painting in Paris. Amy has a chance encounter with Theodore, a childhood crush who proposed to Jo but was ultimately rejected. Their oldest sibling, Meg, is married to a schoolteacher, while shy sister Beth develops a devastating illness that brings the family back together.

3. Atypical
Synopsis:
Sam (Keir Gilchrist) is an 18-year-old with a mild form of autism. His mother (Jennifer Jason Leigh) has tried to protect him from the world, but he feels it's time he established some independence.

Throughout his funny yet emotional journey of self-discovery, Sam finds himself dealing with typical teenaged situations including broken friendships, graduation, going to college and the most daunting task yet: starting a relationship.

But it’s not just Sam that is struggling. His entire family, including his father (Michael Rapaport) and sister Casey (Brigette Lundy-Paine), are also navigating major changes in their own lives all while supporting Sam.

4. A Series of Unfortunate Events
Synopsis:
A tragic black comedy, ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events‘, based on Lemony Snicket’s popular children’s novel series of the same name, is about the three Baudelaire orphans — Violet, who holds a knack for mechanical inventions; Klaus, an avid reader and a bookworm; and Sunny, a baby with exceptionally strong teeth. After their parents die in a mysterious fire which also destroys their home, the siblings try to investigate the incident and find out the truth. However, they have to face the evil advances of their distant relative and guardian named Count Olaf, who is bent on taking control of their inheritance before the kids come of age. The trio has to foil his plans and recognize his various disguises as they attempt to uncover the mystery behind their parents’ death.

These shows provides a lot of lessons that are necessary in today's world. I hope you can be open-minded with the messages they want to deliver.
