What is Plagiarism?

What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism means copying someone's work and ideas and make as your own without the consent of the real author.

That's why it is important to give credit every time you write an article that you copy from someone's work. Because you could be penalized if using work, and ideas that are not yours.

Here in the Philippines, Republic Act No. 8293 known as the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines giving the person a right to protect his work for possible plagiarism.

Once proven for plagiarism with the existing law yo could be in prison for 3-6 years and get fine from 50,000 to 150,00 pesos.

Now days plagiarism, copying someone works, and ideas is everywhere. But being a content creator we should avoid this kind of activities. And always give acknowledgement and credits to the rightful owner.

My article is not intented to scare you, but to let you aware that plagiarism is a crime. And it is important to give credit everytime you post something that you don't own.

I believe everyone has its own talent and ability to work on its own. And I always believe in the saying that "Practice makes perfect".
