My first job experience was really challenging for me. It was in Dubai! My college friends and I applied in a manning agency in quezon city. Though we lacked experienced, we decided to just GO FOR IT! Then I got interviewed by the General Manager of Radisson BLU hotel in Dubai Media City, UAE.  Then I cannot believe myself that I got accepted as a waitress/f&b dept.. I am happy and nervous at the same time because IT WAS MY FIRST JOB and I just grab that opportunity. My friend didn’t get the chance though so I am on my own.
After a month all my documents are ready and I’m about to go on my own FOR THE FIRST TIME. It’s scary to travel and work in a different country being away from your parents and you have no idea what’s going to happen.
The job was a bit scary especially when you are serving VIP’s and Arabic/locals. But i enjoyed being in the company of my colleagues. I got to befriended indian, pakistani, arabs, hungarian, asian, all sorts of nationality, my fellow kababayan and I wasn’t lonely anymore. It was amazing learning our differences yet we are all the same, working in a foreign country to support our family and experiencing working in a beautiful city while having fun. It was an extraordinary experience, i will never forget about it and will forever be grateful.
