Mom's Hometown #MYFIRSTLOCALTRAVEL

In 2018, we had to go to Davao, my mom's hometown, to attend a family reunion. Honestly, it was my first time attending a family reunion in my whole life.

That week was really memorable not only because it was far away from our home and because of the breathtaking views, it was I've experienced things, that I didn't experience living in the city.

Our week started off, sleeping at our aunt's house. There is no restroom, so we had to things on the dirt. When we needed to take a bath, we need to get water from a "poso." My sister got mad because I've wasted water HAHAHA it was a really fun experience. We also got to meet our nephews from our cousins. Sadly, our cousins have big age gaps from ours so we'd always play with their sons.

We also went to different beaches and met new people. When we attended the reunion, it happened in a school. A school that our family owned! I really had no idea and was surprised. I realized that we have a big family and I don't know them. But I met some of them, especially the kids and got the chance to play with them.

After the party, we went to a resort near Mt. Apo. It was really cool. As you can see at my picture, that's me and behind me was the fog made my the Mt.Apo. We also tried putting volcanic mud on our faces.

We also went to Samal Island, it was cool because we had to ride a boat to go there. We stayed at our cousin's 'soon to be' resort. The water's really clear and can see the fishes. I also appreciated the people in Davao, they were very kind and fun to talk with.

Sadly, we only had a week in Davao and didn't have the chance to visit our other relatives. That experience was really tiring because we had to visit different relatives, but it was all worth it. I hope I can go back in Davao!
