How to be Non-Toxic (Part 5) - Focus On Yourself First

Focus On Yourself First (Final Part)

To achieve a Non-Toxic life is somehow difficult but possible. We cannot always delete and erase these toxicities in our life as it lives in us, because that is how life goes on. However, we can prevent some of the toxicity by starting with ourselves. Ask yourself, "Am I toxic?"

Well, to answer the question, you must ask yourself these questions first, "Do I get into arguments all the time?" "Do I pick fights over things that don't matter to me?" "When I get stressed, do I tend to blow up at whoever is closest at hand?" "Are my co-workers, family, and friends are afraid to speak up with or around me?" "Do I look for the worst or expecting the worst in someone?" If most of your answers are "Yes," then you do know the answer to the first question I asked you.

The ways we can do to get away with these negativities is to start from ourselves. Observe the kind of behavior you have that is not good, that spreads negativity and toxicity. Try and always try, if you failed to do at first because it is a process and it is not some sort of thing that goes well immediately, to change it for good. Do not see the change for someone, see the change for yourself. After all, what you are achieving is a Non-Toxic life.

As a matter of fact, if we change ourselves into a more positive view we can influence people, especially youths, and make an environment with less toxicity. We cannot erase negativities because it balances our world, and sometimes we need negativity to see greater things in life, but less and less toxicity that we are going to face and encounter in our life.

As impossible as it may sound but through you who is currently reading this, we can be able to make a change, not just in ourselves but in our society, no matter how hard it is. Be the change that you would be proud of! Just like in the lyrics of Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson that holds a strong message. "I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways, and no message could have been any clearer. If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself, and then make a change."

With you, we can make our world less toxic. And I, believe in you!
