Hope is Contagious

NOT AFRAID Week 2: Hope is Contagious

Some may say 2020 is the worst year in our modern age but I know that God will bring us through the storm. After all of these, we can declare that we are unshakeable no matter what. In this topic, we will learn that we are a carrier. Whether you are carrying sickness, bad attitude, anger, bitterness, faith, love, or hope. It all goes down to a question, is what you're carrying worth catching? We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. 3 As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 As an effective children of God, you should be a: 1. Faith Spreader For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance[a] that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you. And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it - 1 Thessalonians 1:5, 8 The Good News comes with power. It has the ability to change someone's life. As an introvert person, I find it somehow difficult to open up about my faith. But as a Christian, I always eagerly seek chances to speak up and tell others mostly my co-workers about Christ. My personality is weak but with the help of the Holy Spirit, I know that my words are not meaningless. Even writing on this blog, I may not have a strong following but I do it all for the glory of the Lord. 2. Love Giver By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. - John 13:35 Love is more than simply warm feelings, it is an attitude that reveals itself in action. As a Christian, you can show love to other just like how Christ loves us by helping your workmate or classmate when it's not convenient, by giving even it hurts your budget/savings, or even by devoting your time and energy to others' welfare than your own. What to know the ultimate meaning of love? Read on... For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16 For pre-believers: God paid dearly with the life of his Son, the highest price he could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price of our sins, and offered us a new life. All you need to do is accept this free gift and acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. For Christians: When we share the good news with others , our love must be like Jesus. Feels nice to know, isn't it? Reaching out to others and willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God's love. 3. Hope Bearer But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. -Jeremiah 17:7 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13 There's a post a read somewhere that can't be any truer, it says be a hope giver, faith builder, joy spreader, and peace bringer to the ones around you. You just never know what others are going through and your kind gesture can go a long way.

Are you contagious? Choose what you want to spread! Spread your faith, your love, and hope.
