I really hope I can help lessen the burden in thinking of what to cook for your next meal. Me and my mom would always have a tough time thinking of what to cook next. That is why I enjoy posting my food hobby online so that I can help in my little way. I promised to post about the recipe that pushed me to blog about my food/cooking hobby. This is my Vermicelli Rolls recipe. Filipinos call it sotanghon. So if you hear a Filipino friend talking about sotanghon, then they're talking about vermicelli. I was craving something quick to eat that day. I checked the fridge to see if there is something I can whip up. Unfortunately, all I saw was my mom's usual ingredients for a traditional Filipino spring roll. I told her if I can modify so it would taste new. She said yes. I remembered something I ate from my previous travels and thought of applying it here. Because we didn't have rice paper that time, I had to settle for the usual wrapper. For the dip, it was my trip to Thailand that really inspired its taste. After a few adjustments my Vermicelli/Sotanghon Rolls was born. Yey! Here is the recipe in English & Filipino. I hope you can try it at home this week.
