Easy and Budget Friendly Pandesal Recipe

Craving for Pandesal? Let me share my easy and budget friendly pandesal recipe.

Ingredients:

3 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour (You can use Bread flour as well)]
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Tbsp Instant Yeast
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Margarine (or Butter)
1 1/4 Cup Water
1 Cup Bread Crumbs

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients (flour, yeast, sugar and salt).
2. Form a well then put in the water and butter.
3. Combine all ingredients to form a dough. 
4. Knead the dough for 7-8 minutes or until the it becomes smooth and elastic. (You can also use stand mixer if you have one.)
5. Place the dough in a greased pan, cover it with cling wrap or tea towel and let it rise for about an hour or until it double the size.
6. After an hour, the dough has doubled in size. Punch down to deflate and the release the gas. 
7. Transfer the dough to your work surface.
8. Divide into equal sizes. Shape the pandesal and coat it with bread crumbs. Place it in your baking pan/tray and cover with cling wrap or tea towel. Let it rest for 30 mins.
9. Pre-heat your oven at 180 C / 350 F. 
10. After 30 mins, bake your pandesal for 15-20 minutes.
11. Take it our from the over and and let it cool for 8-10 minutes. 
12. Enjoy you home made pandesal.
