Commemorating Martin Luther King Jr

“Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.

That is my favorite motto that I embody since I started to know Dr. Martin in my high school days. I will never forget the small paper from Papemelroti where the quote was written. This was the start of my eagerness to know who he is. A man with a good heart and a true leader.

His words have a big impact on my growing days. Aside from my parents and family, those sayings guide me to be a good person, a good leader in my high school days and some organizations, used my voice, served, and help other people even if I'm not rich, and treat people as brothers and sisters.

Martin Luther King Jr was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and a key leader in the Civil Rights Movement promoting justice and equality in the United States of America mid-1950s and '60s.

In the history of America, Martin Luther taught people to use their voice about things that matter. Despite all of the injustices it brought upon him, he never gave in to violence.

Now, America is in the middle of tough events. This day, looking back and remembering Martin Luther King's teaching, should remind people of America or even us Filipino and other countries having trouble in their places should never stop believing and dreaming of a peaceful homeland.
If all people will remember and stand for good, our deeds would be rich in goodness, respect, peace, and love.
