3 Ways to Stay Positive During the Pandemic

                    The year 2020. A year hobbled with fear, uncertainty, challenges and hardships. The main reason: the global coronavirus pandemic. It is also certain that at some point during quarantine, we have felt some kind of stress that weighs us down. But we shouldn't let ourselves get carried away by what's happening right now. Being positive is the best way to deal with this pandemic stress and here are the 3 ways to do so.

1. Be thankful
After waking up in the morning, make a list of things that you are grateful for. Make it a daily habit because research shows that being grateful is greatly associated with more happiness. Learn to give thanks to God for having a brand new day. Appreciate the things around you, whether it's your family, friends or even your pet. There's no bad thing in seeking greater happiness, in fact, this is the perfect time to do so. 

2. Always keep on moving and improving
Did you know that fish species like tuna and mackerel should always move and swim in the water in order to pass oxygen through their gills to stay alive? Figuratively speaking, we humans have the same issue. If we don't go forward physically, mentally, and spiritually, we become weak, stupid or broken. Our duty to ourselves is to improve so just keep on moving and improving.

3. Limit the news & the internet
Did you noticed that every time we decide to check on the news nowadays it was most of the time overwhelming? Whether it's on the TV, radio, newspaper or social media, the news today are mostly stressful, especially the COVID-19 related ones. News are actually not bad, in fact, they are really helpful because it gives us information about the current events that may benefit us. But too much of it, like other stuff, wouldn't be good for our emotional and mental health. Limit the news you watch, especially on social media through the internet. Fake news can have a much greater impact during a crisis compared to regular days. Don't get drawn in reading chains of continuous bad news and people's comment in the internet because you may end up feel miserable, fearful and overwhelmed. Always be careful dealing with things in the internet because it may easily disrupt your positivity and happiness. 

Keep safe, be positive and be happy always.
