Hello, kamusta? Hope you are having a great day today! :) I just want to talk about my experience working from home. With this entire pandemic going on in the world, it literally feels like the world has stopped. There's a limitation now in about almost everything that we normally do a few months ago. We can't go out, we can't interact with friends personally, we can't visit our family, we can't go out on a date, and we can't go to the office to work. Almost a year ago, my friend introduced me to this thing called "VA" or Virtual Assistant. It is basically working in the comfort of your own home. All you need is to set up an UpWork account, a laptop, and a stable internet connection. This has helped me a lot especially at this time of the pandemic. I am currently working as a Customer Support Representative in a US-based company. I assist customers via chat and email. I can say that it is a rewarding experience because aside from the good pay, you also have the luxury to work at your own home. However, as time passes by, I also get to experience some "cons" when you work from home. Let me break down some of the PROs and CONs of Working From Home: Pros: 1. No more stress caused by heavy traffic. 2. No need to wake up early to prepare to go to work. 3. Fewer expenses, more savings. 4. Fewer dirty clothes to wash. 5. More time with your family. Cons: 1. I get bored easily - more tendency to feel so sleepy. 2. Less face-to-face interaction. 3. No employee benefits since you are an Independent Contractor. The Pros and Cons that I've listed above are based on my personal experience. It does not mean that you will experience the same, but I can say that working from home is a happy experience - and I'm not planning to quit anytime soon. You should try it too! :) I've also linked my vlog about Working From Home (in Filipino) for the longer version of this post. That's all I want to share for now. Stay healthy and safe!
