Saw this story in my old notes and decided to leave it here. 
It has both English and Filipino version contextually translated:))

It was almost passed six o'clock in the evening. A girl who seemed to have no plan of going home yet decided to enter the church to say her short prayer.

" Lord, please not my mom yet. I'm still not ready for it."

Behind her, near the other side of the aisle, a middle aged woman is also praying.

" My God, please don't forsake my child." she whispered.

The night feels cold already and the loud roar of exhaust from vehicles on the street were filling the surroundings.
It was except for an unnoticed silent alley only troubled by crickets. It was where the moonlight seems to shine bright the most as the girl and the middle aged woman met halfway...

"Mom?"

"My child?"

Gabi na, pasado ala-sais, pero hindi pa naisipang umuwi ng isang dalagita. Napagdesisyunan muna nitong dumiretso sa simbahan upang magbanggit ng maikling dasal.

" Diyos ko, huwag niyo munang kukunin sa akin si mama, hindi ko pa kaya."

Sa kanyang likuran malapit sa kabilang pasilyo ay isang ginang rin ang nananalangin.

" Panginoon, huwag niyo pong pababayaan ang anak ko." bulong nito.

Malamig na ang gabi at maingay pa ang tambutso ng mga sasakyan sa kalsada. Subalit sa kaliwanagan ng buwan sa isang dako ng tagong eskinita, tahimik liban sa mga kuliglig, ay nagtagpo ang ginang at dalagita.

"Ma?"

" Anak?"
