On September 28, 2019, immediately following the airing of episode 26, an anime film titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train (鬼滅の刃 無限列車編, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen) was announced, with the staff and cast reprising their roles.[1] On April 10, 2020, it was announced that the film will be released theatrically in Japan on October 16, 2020.[2] The film will be distributed in Japan by Aniplex and Toho.

Aniplex of America has licensed the film, and will release the film theatrically in North America in cooperation with Funimation Films.
