Tips for Online Classes

As we venture now with virtual learning, I would like to share with you some tips I find useful for all students out there. It is important to know that not everyone enjoys the same privileges. This is a good time to reflect and appreciate what we have, And if we have the means to help others, let us be a tool to help them in any way possible.

Tip #1. Designate a study workspace.
-My study desk is only for studying and doing homework. I want to avoid watching videos there for me to know the boundaries that when I sit on my desk, it calls for a productive time. I also don't study on my bed so I can avoid lying down and dozing off few minutes later. However, for those who have small rooms, it's totally cool! You don't need to have a huge study area. You can set a mini table or any small space you have there and tell yourself, "This is my productivity area, nothing else."

Tip #2. Have your things within your reach.
-This saves time. I prepare all the school supplies and study essentials near me ahead of time so I will not be distracted getting up every time. I see to it that I also have my water tumbler with me to keep me hydrated during study sessions.

Tip #3. Limit access to gadgets.
-If you have both access to laptop/tablet and phone, might as well keep your gadget distraction to a minimum. I am easily distracted with notifications on my phone so when I work with my laptop, I put away my phone to be more focused.

Tip #4. Dress up during real-time classes.
-Dressing up sets a good atmosphere that you are ready for work/study. It makes you feel refreshed too!

Tip #5. Start building a routine.
-Even though we are doing asynchronous classes, I want to stick with the schedule given. This semester, I have morning classes but our professor does not hold real-time class so we don't really need to wake up early. However, what I do is I still wake up early and do the things related to that subject during that time schedule so I am using my time well.

To all students out there, we got this! Trust yourself and don't forget, it's okay to take some break.
