This is why you should change your pads into Menstrual Cups!

This is for all my Girlfriends who got curious about using Menstrual Cups. Eyes here girls!

So a menstrual cup (MC) is a medical grade silicone/TPE closed funnel like material placed inside the vagina (just outside the cervix) to “catch” period blood (tampons and pads absorb period blood). It’s folded during insertion to fit the vaginal entrance and pops to its size once inside.

You may think that the idea of inserting and having a foreign object inside your body is scary and cringey but it is actually a lifeChanging idea!

Here are the benefits of using MC’s:

1. It saves you $$! It’s cheaper than buying disposable pads and tampons! Cups range from 1,000 to 2,500 pesos depending on the brand. With proper care, it can last up to 10yrs and the best thing is, you only need one! That’s about 20 pesos a month!

2. Very low maintenance! To clean cups, you only have to wash them with mild (oil-free) soaps which is most likely already a part of your toiletry stash. To sterilize, you only need to boil them in water for several minutes.

3. It’s odorfree! Period blood only develops odor when it’s exposed to air!

4. It’s also said to reduce period cramps! a lot of users have claimed their discomforts on red days have become less frequent and relatively manageable.

5. It’s very comfortable you sometimes forget that you have it on! But in case you forgot, set an alarm to remind you that its there! No icky feeling, fresh all day as if you don’t have your visit.

6. It’s eco-friendly! Primarily why a lot of ladies chose to make the switch. that’s 120++ less disposable pads thrown at landfills! 👏🏼

Menstrual cups come in many shapes, firmness, and sizes. The perfect cup depends on a lot of factors like how heavy your flow, how active your lifestyle, and how deep your cervix is. Take the quiz to see what cup fits you best!
