Books and more books. People nowadays will choose gadgets and e-books rather that reading books the physical one. But for some they will still choose the paper type. Because of technology a lot of writers and publishers are loosing their money. Less sales, less productions and a few people writing their books and opted writing it online and selling it online too. This saddens me as a book lover. Way way back when I was younger I loved hanging out at book stores whether it’s inside a mall or a small book store in the neighborhood. I also loved buying second hand books and until this time I still have those books wrapped in protective covers. I still love the smell of the pages every time I open them up. I can just stay inside the house instead of partying with my friends over the weekend, with a few books and a cup of coffee. Books will make you feel like you are inside a movie or something, sharing the moment with the lead characters. Laughing and crying with them or falling in love with the leading man or woman. Books can also make you feel as if you have been to a place that you haven’t been. Travel books will give you ideas on where to go and what to do in a specific place. Auto biographies can make you feel what it’s like to be in that persons shoe. Life motivational books will motivate you to do better. Whatever genre it is that you like will eventually give you a whole lot of new things to learn. Have you ever tried reading a book while travelling or while riding a plane? I believe it’s really worth it. It will take your mind of your boredom. And I also learned a lot from reading books when I was younger. Reading the physical book still excites me although it’s easier to just download an e-book. I have a lot of favorite series and some of them are the Anne of Green Gables series this one is a classic, Twilight Saga that was made into a movie and became blockbuster, The Vampire Academy, Harry Potter Series who doesn’t love this boy and his friends. I can read this books over and over again without being bored.I have over 200 books at home that I get to read every once in a while. Whenever I travel or have long road trips I make sure that I have at least two or more books that I can read and ponder to. And it’s been a while since I last bought a book because of the pandemic, I cannot go out. But the moment this lockdown end I will make sure to buy and read a new book. Make sure to have your little children enjoy and appreciate reading a book and not just learning to read using a gadget. Teach them to appreciate books that will be obsolete in the coming years.
