Random Thoughts: Life In New Normal

How’s your life so far?

Is it still on the bridge of balancing life and adjusting to the new normal, yet can’t stay our minds out of those chances we took for granted back when we still can do anything we want? and it is always up to us, ourselves who limit ourselves from doing something. But now everything changes and even if we want to, it’s kind of hard now to go out, whenever we want.

Somehow, living life taught us lots of things everyday. Everything is getting hard nowadays, you can’t go out just like the usual where you can be spontaneous and decide randomly, do something on the spot, and be sure and not sure, it’s okay to go back and undo something ’cause everything is not limited unlike how we do what we’re doing now.

We can’t go outside out of the blue just because we want to, it’s even a hassle to forget to buy something that we need and remembers it when we get home, we can’t run to the grocery store quickly ’cause all of the process now even buying things we need is getting long. We have to line up outside, check our temperature, wear mask and face shield, and you have to have a pass to enter the vicinity and observe social distancing when we get inside, and can’t casually talked to someone we know that we bumped unto for long ’cause we only have a short time to spend inside.

Having this kind of precautions to follow is okay, since it’s for the people’s assurance and as well as to protect ourselves. It’s just that, I know everyone of us are still not over the fact that it’s happening now, about all of those new normal that we need to follow and eventually live on.

Going out, living and doing our usual errands is getting tiring because of the new things that are added on our daily living. This new normal is tiresome but an essential rules to follow.

I suddenly felt kind of sad for the little children who will grow up with this new way of living. They will all be stucked inside their houses, getting schooled under their roof, play inside, and can’t go around and meet new people or play freely without fear.

This new normal might be hard for us, adults. But it’s even more saddening for those kids who will never experience those simple things that they should be experiencing.

They will grow up with the devices as their friends, their school, even their way to see the world. Looking at those beautiful and breathtaking scenery through their screens rather than their own eyes.

I hope and pray that, everything will still go back to normal, may it not be 100% but I hope that the children of this new generation will still get to experience how amazing God formed those masterpieces and see it on their own.
