The Philippines is enjoying 15 nominations at this year’s prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA).

The Philippines is vying to retain its two titles awarded in the 2019 WTA as Asia’s Leading Tourism Board and Asia’s Dive Destination and received 13 other nominations for its picturesque destinations.

The country’s tourism industry needs to gather votes from travel professionals and consumers to receive recognition from the WTA which seeks to acknowledge and reward excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

The Philippine tourism industry received the following 5 major nominations:

Philippines – Asia’s Leading Dive Destination
Philippines – Asia’s Leading Beach Destination
The Walled City of Intramuros – Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction
Cebu – Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination
