Philippine tamaraw

The tamaraw in the Philippines is a dwarf buffalo, that located in the Island of Mindoro. The tamaraw is small, stocky buffalo. The adults color is grayish-black with darker line running along the spine and white markings on the insides of the forelegs. Its also lighter marking found above the eyes, where they form eyebrows.
It has been in the critically endangered list since the year 2000. They are threatened mainly due to habitat destruction and hunting for food. Their shrinking habitat forced them move further inland into the thick forest.
