Oxytocin: The Feel Good Hormone

Many have known Oxytocin as a love hormone. Produced by Hypothalamus and released by pituitary gland which then released into the bloodstream.. Like antennas picking up a signal, oxytocin receptors are found on cells throughout the body.  
It's like a hormone of attachment and creates feelings of calm and closeness.

When you see your beloved, your brain releases dopamine, your serotonin levels increase, and oxytocin is produced. This causes you to feel a surge of positive emotion.

Pregnant women with higher levels of oxytocin during their first trimester bonded more strongly with their babies after they were born.

Not just for Mother and child but also for lovers. 
The more time you spend with your partner, the more oxytocin you produce; the more oxytocin you produce, the more you may desire your partner.
