Original Pilipino Music (OPM) icon Kuh Ledesma is auctioning her art collection to benefit families and music industry workers whose livelihoods have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The veteran singer of OPM classics “Till I Met You”, “Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan”, and “I Think I’m In Love” started her benefit auction called “KUHlection” on July 24, 2020, where she put up for bids the artworks by various artists that she bought personally. The Philippines’ “Original Pop Diva” went on social media to announce the auction and said that the proceeds will go to 30 families she has been helping during the pandemic, musicians who lost their gigs, and friends in the press. “I have too many collected things and it’s time to let go of a lot of them now because things like these are not as important as helping other people in a time of crisis,” said Ledesma in her Facebook video post. The Pop Diva started off her auction with two Roberto Robles installation art boxes in which one of them includes a poem she made for her husband. “One of them has a poem that I wrote to my husband Louie because the box is about soldiers and he was into soldiers and war things. This means a lot to me for the sake of my friends who I want to help,” said Ledesma.
