Online Class-hole...Relate?

You may think that my title is a word play of *ss hole...but no. Or yes?maybe? Well, can't deny that online class had been such a big burden for students lately. Ain't using more offensing word. Just the previous one for the wordplay.

But I think more than wordplay, my title speak much for itself already.I know you know what I mean, coz hey, were like surviving the torture-like online class for weeks now! ( A short Hooray for that! Tap yourselves, guys.)

So to justify this wordings of mine especially to those who don't have an idea...you've read it absolutely right. Online class feels like torture. Student's rants are everywhere in SNS (Social Networking Sites), and the Government haven't taking action yet. (Shoutout.#Academicfreezeplease)

If you come to think of it, online class might not seem really horrible and hard. Especially for those who has appropriate gadgets (I mean like laptops) and stable internet connection. But I can't totally say that cause this new mode of learning is quite a culture-shock for everyone. Nothing comes easy with adjustments, I know.

In our online class, most situations were just like the normal. Listening to your teacher's discussion. Having assigned task. Taking atleast weekly quizzes. All seems fine and normal right?

Not until...some may experience connection problems and be dropped of the meeting disabling them to join the discussion. Or a signal interference comes in, making your teacher's voice choppy. Or other occurences like brownout and heavy storms that excused most students to not join the meeting...or even the teacher itself, that there wouldn't be no meeting at all.

Is that the kind of learning we want? Are we even learning thru that? Coz I bet I'm not.

Education unleashes students potential, they say. It enhances us as an individual, they say.

But is it still true in our situation? Cause what I am experiencing first hand and observing right now is everyone's becoming hopeless and unmotivated. Because of the will to cope, the urge to be not left behind. Student's are losing their supposed to be goal to learn, slowly turning it to a goal to survive and comply.

Some teachers are doing good and trying their best to explain lessons. But some are struggling real hard, becoming unmotivated which results to a domino effect. This unmotivated teachers resorts to discuss less or even not anymore and just send the lectures for students to read, then automatically schedule a quiz or assign a task. Students will need to do the self study in a topic where they don't even have a background of, and it was not easy.Really. The loss of motivation passes of to them. Now, no one wants that class. Or everyone wants to drop it.

This new normal isn't normal at all. It's like torture. Emotional and mental torture. Imagine sitting in front of a gadget for hours, every weekdays (and Saturdays), absorbing all its hazardous radiation. Complying to a task you haven't fully understand and reaching after a set deadline.

 Worrying over many things:

*Do I still have money for load tomorrow? *I'm so dumb, I can't understand the lesson. *How can I pass these semester with so many problems coming thru? *My parents can no longer support my studies. *So many assignments to pass. *I need to buy these things for my project, but I don't have extra money now. *I need to finish this tonight cause it's due at 11:59 pm, I will not sleep yet. *Another task? Why haven't I notified early? *I forgot to eat my meal because of the class.

Yes. Those were just few of students' worries like me nowadays. Everything is just so draining and stressful. Because of this also, some are forgetting to take care of themselves. Sleep deprivation to skipping meals. Dizziness, to head aches, to body aches, to overfatigue, to fever. Anxieties to depression. Depression to suicide.

Online class can quite be fatal for the weak. I truly hope that it won't cause anything worse that is close to death. Education are supposed to shape us, not to end us. Not to kill our dreams, our hopes, our lives. It's supposed to be a stair for a better and brighter future. Not a trap, not a hole, that will succumb us in darkness and hopelessness. I hope the government may take action unto this as soon as possible. May they stop the cries of struggle before it may turn into cries of something worst.

And for those suffering big time with the new mode of learning, for every students out there crawling their way to pass the semester, may you find strength and more motivation in your life. May you survive each challenging days. You're not alone, we are all in this together: as the world is quoting it. Let's survive this school year... for we can do all things through the Lord who keeps strengthening us, each day!

Our situation might be hard but I know we can work harder, especially for our future.

Godbless everyone!
