I remember buying things before at National Book Store and seeing this "Project Aral." I found out that this is a school program of NBS wherein their costumers can buy a kit that contains a notebook, sharpener, eraser, and pencil, and they will donate it to kids. One kit is equivalent to one kid. At that time, I remember it costs 25 pesos for each kit. The cashier asked me if I want to avail one, and without hesitation, I said yes. I wrote my name on the name box sticker and dropped it on the box. I don't mind spending my 25 pesos if it means I've got to help a kid get to have school supplies. I know it happened years ago, but I would always do it whenever I buy something at National Book Store. It makes me smile, knowing that I made a kid happy by doing little acts of kindness. As they always say, "It's not how much we give but the love we put in giving." Picture courtesy of Google
