Words are too many for him, he cannot count all the things he did for someone to be strong enough. His sympathy didn't die and that's why he chose to be that someone who lends his ear for others. Atleast for all those times he thought it was all for nothing--sure it kept him to understand what his life holds him to do. It was Three in the morning when his alarm clock rang. He stumbled upon as his eyes were still closed while walking out of his door. The rugged man prepared his Breakfast before taking a bath. For other's he was just on his usual routines, Going to school very early then proceeds to his desk and gets ready for work. No one saw who was this man behind his jolly features despite of his difficulty in talking. His class just ended by the noon strikes, he took his lunch while reading one of his students written essays of reflection. From that day on, he have learned Deep realizations how these little ones managed to handle such problems at a young age. If he got time, he would personally look out for them on their classrooms and ask them questions what are the things that bothers them. Sometimes he would invite them to play skittles on his serene home and just enjoy the vibe they're in. Although they lacked a proper place to stay in, for he teach his lessons--still he was happy to provide learning materials for them even if it costs him too much money. But never did he knew, the moment he had put all his attention--it wasn't all enough to mend those scars they got. In the real world he cannot control their lives and live under his principle and guidance. It was like a blip that happened too fast, when he saw them entering their classes but later on got into fights that lead them 4 days of suspension. Right there, his patience were getting small but his concern for them over powered. But he understands it, he was just a temporary part of their present time. Soon, they'll grow up and probably will forget all the things he did. He smiled at last, and accepted his Last resort. For him, it was easy to add love and to minus hate- it has been His motivation in moving forward from all rock bottoms he have gone through. He grew up with no one on his side, to cherish him like a son and to support him like what your friends mostly do. He has nothing, but only precious numbers that he got for himself. His genuine actions can be measured as deep as tunnel, but has been ignored couple of times. Through those sleepless nights where he spent tears while thinking of something to help his sons and daughters to live under the value of education by not throwing their parents efforts even if they were the reason of their rebellious behaviour. And yes, he tought numbers that is essential for their upcomming careers in the future. But they will never count the numbers where he shared moral values that he swallowed back his anger for them to be able to recognize his fading voice. Numbers, when he used to say "time is gold" instead of reminding that to himself. It was always about them, and that he forgot he has to live too. And this numbers that worth of a billion meanings will be left hanging. In all those sacrifices he did, really did paid off for he helped students to be productive even in just simple ways. Even he was getting poorer as he became a provider to those young ones who are in greatly need of it. And yet, no one recognized the hint of his voice that he keeps on hoping that one day, their situation will be noticed. It was the story of a man at 60's, who is a retired teacher. For him it was so sudden- the cutting of DepEd's (Department of Education) Badget was the Government's target. The expected numbers of facilities to be build in all public schools will be lessen, and the learning materials needed by the students will not be enough for their population.
