Yes! We just had our landline and internet services restored after two weeks of exchange with our telephone and internet service provider, PLDT. I know that there are numerous complaints, issues as well as unpleasant feedback about their services but let me pass the vibe on what happened and why it's not a problem. We initially experienced the issue on June 28, 2020 when the lines were suddenly cut off without a moment's delay - YouTube videos stopped loading, files being downloaded and uploaded were paused, online mobile gaming halted for reconnection. Basically, what we were doing stopped. We called PLDT and were only advised to wait for a callback due to the volume of repair and service request. I know, if we had a report due or work in progress it's a disaster. That's why, since I am working from home, I bought a back-up prepaid wifi router months ago in anticipation that this kind of situation will happen eventually and I had to ensure that I have measures to continue on my daily tasks. I agree, it's not as "good" as what PLDT can provide but at the least I can carry on with my work and daily activities while waiting for the services to be restored. So, going back and forth with the customer chat support team of PLDT for about two weeks and expressing my extreme disatisfaction to getting an update at 3am when I requested for it at 12pm the day before, we were able to get the service crew come today to assess the issue and repair the line. All the haggling and spontaneous DMs via Twitter paid off when I saw the service personnel work on our line and had it reconnected. I extend my gratitude and apologies to the team who handled my request as they were prompt to act and received the shorter end of my temper thus proving that many things can be done if we just work together without complaining. Speaking up to point out the fault and remediate is one thing but complaining just for the sake of pointing out a fault and just leaving it be is another.
