Never Alone

As the plane takes off from Philippines to Malaysia, I had a lot of doubts in myself figuring out if I deserved the 2-week training in other country. Actually, that was the first time that I travelled alone. At first, it made me hate myself for a while but when I landed to other country, I realized that the training already started. I felt privileged because they gave me the full courage, confidence and entrusted me to attend the Global Citizenship Institute. It was not easy. I know after attending this, more responsibilities awaits me.

With no one to point in the right or wrong direction and decision,  I suddenly find the courage to trust myself with the things I should do. Later on, I felt more comfortable being alone and appreciated my solo/yolo moments. It was cool and placed me out of my comfort zone.

When the plane is about to take off from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta, plane started to shut down. 3x to be exact. And that was the reason why I missed my next flight for Solo, Indonesia. Whether its emergency or not, I need to stay calm. Whatever happened to me that time, t'was God's grace that saved me. He saved us, all the passengers and crew. Then, an immediate response and changing of plane for our safety.

Moreso, I learned to be a tolerant of differences. Yes, I waited 6 hours for my last flight, and I experienced life in another culture. Sharing thoughts and talking with other helped me understand their different way of living.

The whole training was amazing. I learned a lot such appreciating all that I've got, grateful for who am I and who I'm not. Since I was alone, I met a lot of friends from Indonesia and other asian countries. It was a great experience especially during the immersion to our foster family. It was totally different. I realized that simple living is what we really needed and the love for the nature and the rest was history.

Let me end this by thanking God for a wonderful journey he let me in and felt his presence all throughout. It was indeed a great learning experience that I will treasure and gladly share it to everyone.
