My Liposarcoma brief story

July is the Liposarcoma awareness month. did you know that malignant (cancerous) tumors of the connective tissues are called "sarcomas". There are more than 50 sub-types of sarcoma. Well, last 2015 i was unluckily diagnosed with liposarcoma. Liposarcoma is a rare type of cancer that begins in the fat cells, it is considered a type of soft tissue sarcoma. Liposarcoma can occur in fat cells in any part of the body, but most cases occur in the muscles of the limbs or in the abdomen, but in my case it developed in my left ankle and one of the ways to get cured is to do amputation, chemo and radiation therapy. So to make it short after the biopsy and diagnosis done i got amputated. Now I am 4 years cancer free and yes I am disabled but still can do more things with my new buddy phosthetic leg. So, If you feeling down right now just think how lucky you are. God is good!!
