Everybody has been on the bandwagon already, watching dramas from different countries are quite enjoyable. Why not learn something from it? You might be able to use it in the future. 

I`m an avid kdrama fan and when I graduated from college I worked as an ESL teacher even if I was not a Education Major. My korean accent was great my students said and I learned a lot from those dramas that I have watched. I learned how to understand them better. 

I`m learning Chinese right now. I`m finding it very hard, but it`s fine we can`t perfect one thing without any hurdles. So even if you are not doing anything that productive, like me when I watch my dramas I still learned and used it as means for me to earn.
