Have you tried journaling? Journaling is basically writing your thoughts or feelings in a diary or a journal. If you remember during your grade school and high school years, you might have a diary or a slam book where you confess your feelings to your crush or even wrote something about your puppy love. It feels really good to get all of your negative thoughts and feelings out of your system and you might feel that world seems clearer. What are the benefits of Journaling? It is a good way to express your inner thoughts and feelings, and a good outlet for your overthinking brain. A journal will help you to manage your mental health, it will help reduce your stress, manage your fears and anxiety and even cope with depression and stress. Other benefits of journaling are to improve your mood by having a positive self-talk to yourself and disregarding your negative thoughts. Lastly by prioritizing your problems, task and fears. Sometimes stress and fears are only in our mind so having an outlet is good practice for everyone, and I suggest, journaling, why? It doesn’t cost much or barely at all. You just need a piece of paper or an old note book and a pen, you are ready to go! How to Start Journaling? First, get a piece of paper or an old notebook. If you’re like me, I am a note book hoarder and I love having excuses to buy a new one. You can buy a journal notebook, a dotted one or just the regular. Second, try to write each day. Try to schedule when to write, every morning or before you sleep. This will help you write regularly. Don’t try to sophisticate your journal. Keep it simple and nice, stop worrying about errors, and just write. Let the word’s flow freely and don’t worry about mistakes. Lastly, keeping your journal to yourself, don’t share it to the world.
