In these tough times, social media platforms have been flooded with sad and devastating news around the world. Amidst every negative thing that is happening recently, there popped an on-going trend called "I was..." which lets every sexually-harassed person speak up.

This started on Twitter. The person who started this is still unknown to me but the strong and courageous persons would tweet "I was ___ (their age when they got sexually harassed)". Some has even shared their painful experiences as they made a thread about it. This was also eventually brought to Facebook.

If you are reading this post of mine, you may think, "How could this be good news?" As one of the people who have joined this trend as I was also sexually-harassed before, it is good news to me to see how these brave individuals had the fearlessness to speak up. They had the guts to tell their stories that raised awareness to everyone that sexual harassment happens a lot. This was also a channel of positivity as people shared comforting and encouraging words to one another.

May this good news be a wake-up call for everyone to be kind to one another. We might never know what a person's history is, so always be gracious. Be loving. Be joyful. ♡
