So i heard the news for the public schools, the classes will start on october 5 2020 but for the private schools which is under ched,  the opening of classes can  start ahead of october 5.  So  I am a former stem student. I think about it eagerly before taking that sttrand because to be honest when i was on 10th grade i was not sure of what strand i am going to take,  but then i have seen that stem strand offers a lot of courses which i usually like so i did not have any choice but to take it but for my advice do not take it for granted and think of it as much as you can because it would be hard for you to shift strand when you're already on grade 12.  so let's start with some tips that is applicable in the stem strand.  my first advice is to have determination because stem strand requires a lot of patience a lot of  sacrifice and for sure you have sleepless night for finishing some school stuff.  you have to be very tough and you have a fighting spirit to continue and pursue  that  strand.   so the next thing is to  it with some basic things which is very helpful in your  strand you have to invest for it because for sure you will use a lot of list items which i will list below

 scientific calculator-  you will use this sense science technology engineering and mathematics will require a lot of equations and you use this not only in mathematics but also in science. this is very helpful and i think this is a good investment because you can still use this in college if you would take good care of it I advised to buy the casio FX82ES Since the functions are very applicable to the lessons and it is not quite as complex as the other calculators.  it  more easy to use compared to the other calculators.
 paper or scratch-   since you will have equations and somewhere graphs you really need to have a paper or scratch paper will do as long as you can read what you were writing.  this is very helpful and please compile it because it would be very useful when you're going to take for different CETS  in college.
 ball pen-  so the things that i have listed here were sort of traditional class i know you can utilize your gadgets or if you are allowed to use gadgets then you can use it but i think it is also more convenient and more effective to learn when you are actually writing notes so i advice is to have a bunch of ballpens so that you won't missed  any lectures.


 so that were just some basic things  i need to equip on stem strand , and here are some of my tips on how to study effectively and to understand the lessons clearly.  first is refrain from talking with your classmates during the discussions i used to do this a lot when on first semester and then i regretted it because  that is  the key to understand the lessons in the second semester so if you don't want to miss it then listen during discussions. Second is do not rely on your professors’  notes or discussions you also have to search on the internet about the lesson so that you can understand it well.  In my case my teacher used to teach me difficult equations but then when i saw it on the internet i found out that there are a lot of ways for you to answer it in a short period of time and you just have to do is to search for it. Third, is to have fun with what you are doing do not stress yourself, always have time to break,  enjoy with the equations because when you enjoy those things you cannot feel difficulty or you can feel  difficulty but not as much as When you do if you don't enjoy things. And last but not the least is to always ask questions to your professors, if you were not able to understand it well or you can ask your classmate who is knowledgeable about that lesson always ask a curious person is a smart person..
