How To Survive A Long-Distance Relationship?

Due to technology advancing, communicating with others has become easier no matter where we are in the world. These days we can make online friends. During the pandemic, we can use technology to conduct meetings, online classes, and more. Having the internet is a useful medium to communicate with someone far away. Let us talk about romance and long-distance relationships. Back then, long-distance relationship communication only existed through mails. Now, we have Skype, FB messenger, Whatsapp, and more. Not everyone survives in long-distance. Many break up because of that. However, some have become stronger because of the distance and knew that their love was real. Here are some tips based on experience and research:

1. Trust
According to Dhar Mann, you don’t trust your partner or each other, there is no relationship. You simply trust each other. Whether it's a long distance or not, it's a very important foundation of a relationship.

2. Communication
Relationships are dead without communication. You wouldn’t know what each of you is doing. You wouldn’t know how each of you feels. Express your emotions with each other. Do not keep secrets. Be honest with each other about what is going on. It makes everything easier.

3. Know the end goal
It’s important that you should know when you are finally closing the distance. If not, well, what do you expect? If you don’t know when, do something. Think, plan, and guess when the two of you will finally settle down in either of the places.

4. Do some fun things together
Because of the internet, there is so much stuff that you can do together. You can watch movies through discord or any other website. You can play a multiplayer game together. You can share YouTube Links on messenger.

5. Lastly, look at the relationship as something soulful
As much as possible, stop whining that you can’t see and be with each other physically. Think of your relationship as a spirit. Always look at your partner as a spirit and that the distance doesn’t matter. Do this and you wouldn’t worry too much about the distance. That love is not about being close to each other physically.
