Imagine you’re in an unfamiliar place without a map that will guide you to your destination. You would end up nowhere. Just like in life, without guidance you have no path to set forth. Like a broken compass you can never reach your desired designation or goals in life.
	Based on what happened in the bible, God gave the Ten commandments for the personal well – being if His people. God had already redeemed His people and brought them out of slavery. And now they were out there on their own, He was given them the rules that would govern their lives. Following the law serves as guide in their daily lives. Even today, the same law applies to us.
	According to Dunsmoor and Miller “Guidance is a means of helping individuals to understand and use wisely the educational, vocational and personal opportunities they have or can develop and as form of systematic assistance whereby students are aided in achieving satisfactory adjustment to school and in life.”
