According to a report by Reuters, this is after a clinical trial conducted by the researchers in the United Kingdom last month showed that dexamethasone helped improve the condition of COVID-19 patients.

Aside from the antiviral drug remdesivir of Gilead Sciences Inc., the Japan health ministry has also approved dexamethasone as an option for coronavirus treatment.
