God is aware of our needs

Just today this afternoon after our church meeting, i had a feeling to visit my elderly friend Nanay Delia. While preparing, I was inspired to bring a bag of rice and two pieces of avocado fruit as a present. It's been months since I have had the chance to chat with her because of the covid, it has been especially hard to meet. In my mind I was reminded of the words of King Benjamin, " When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God."

I then set out on a
30-minute drive by motor bike. When I arrived at her home, she greeted me and I was surprised to see that she has been living in a house much like a waiting shed. We talked and I gave her the bag of rice and a fruit. She was very happy! She expressed her gratitude to God because just this afternoon, she already consumed all the rice that she has. It's a big thing for her as she does not have a stable job. She only sells dry twigs for a living. I am amazed of how God knows our needs and even when we feel like we have been forsaken, He is there constantly working to get help for us. Nanay Delia and I had a scripture study and she told me that even when life has a lot of problems, she's glad to take comfort from talking with me. I know that God is there and this experience has strengthened my belief in Him. This day is a miracle for me that I shall never forget.

"Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth."
Mormon 9:21
