FOODS THAT YOU ALWAYS SEE IN KOREAN DRAMA gathered by: Yu Mi

While watching K-drama we usually crave for korean foods especially if our favorite actor deliciously eating it.

Here are some of those korean foods that we always see in K-dramas.

1. KIMCHI
         -Kimchi is traditionally made with a type of cabbage that’s locally called Baechu.

       -Korean Fried Chicken is typically seasoned with soy sauce, but there are many flavours to choose from like garlic and honey. The skin of Korean Fried Chicken is also thin and very crispy, so it definitely adds crunch to the entire meal.

5. KIMCHI-BOKKEUM-BAP

            -Blood sausage, made of blood of cow or pig innards that are then stuffed into the same animal’s intestines.

           -rice topping dish. It’s served steaming, with a variety of ingredients such as fried egg, vegetables, assorted meat, and chili paste. It can also contain a paste made from fermented soybeans.

           - a fish-shaped pastry filled with sweet red bean paste.

9. PETROL CLAMS
           - a North Korean delicacy where grilled clams are cooked by dousing them with petrol as the shellfish sit above the flames.

10. JAJANGMYEON
            - a thick noodle dish made tasty by its signature black bean sauce.

             - rolls of sticky rice and vegetables held together by dried seaweed.

12. SUNDUBU-JJIGAE
           - spicy tofu stew, thick, spicy soup. It’s slow-cooked with anchovy stock, radish, dried kelp, kimchi, and of course, soft tofu. Some also throw in pork belly slices and assorted meat for good measure.

14. SOJU
           -Soju is a popular alcoholic drink in Korea and has a high alcohol content. The drink comes in a ton of variety and flavors as well like raspberry, pineapple, peach, and more.

15. MIYEOK-GUK
            -seaweed soup. Miyeok or sea mustard is known in Korea as an offering to the goddess of childbearing, which is why miyeok-guk became associated with birthdays. It's also served as recovery food for nursing moms. But, if you're simply craving a hearty soup, you can definitely have it all year round, regardless of your gender or life status! The traditional seaweed soup is made with light seasoning (just salt, soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil) and tender beef.
