DIY BATANES ITERINARY  ( for 7 days and 6 nights for 2 person ) 

Airfare via pal -5,000 per person ( one way from Clark to batanes 
Airfare via Sky Jet - 5,000 per person ( one way from batanes to Manila ) 
Hotels cost :  9,500 for 6 nights 
(You can pay less, there are several cheap hotels and home stays to chose from. ) 
Motorbike rentals cost (Basco and Sabtang Island ) : 1600 
Boat rides : 200 per person round trip from Ivana To sabtang island 
Food cost : it really depends on you , there are couple cheap places to eat in basco batanes but If you decided to stay in SabtangIsland there are very limited options.

Room accomadations .
We stayed at MagnFreds Place for one night . ( good location - Basco light house and Naidi Hills are walkable from the hotel . 
We changed accomodations the next day, moving to Tawsen’s Place in the center of town. 
 In sabtang island we stayed in PananayanPension House ( walked in rate was 500 per person for a fan room and 1,000 per person for airconditioned room. (We stayed at the fan room with veranda and beautiful view ) you can book it through traveloka or Airbnb )

Day 1 
We arrived around 1pm . We got settled in to our hotel and then walked to Basco Light house and Naidi Hills  . We watched the sunset at Vayang Rolling Hills . 
After watching sunset we went singing karaoke at Hang Out Karaoke .


Day 2 
We rented a motorbike for 4hrs it cost 150 per hour . We drove around the whole island of basco .

Day 3 
We took a boat to Sabtang island arriving around 2pm  . travel  time on the boat is about 30-45 minutes depending on the wave conditions. there are only 2 boat trips per day ( leaving Ivana at 8 am and 1 pm) . 
On our first day on sabtang island we didn’t get a chance to rent a motorbike. ( there’s no place to rent a motorbike in SabtangIsland but you can ask people if you can rent their motorbike ) .We decided to just walk from our hotel to Morong beach which I don’t recommend because it took us an hour to get there unless you have time and stamina .  luckily we hitched a ride from a truck on the way back to our hotel . 

Day 4  
Finally we found someone who would let us rent his motorbike for 1,000 php for the whole day , thanks to our host Joyce of pananayan pension house . We spent the entire day driving around the island of sabtang and ended up at duvek bay in time for a gorgeous sunset  ( duvek bay is rarely included on tours of sabtang island )

Day 5 
The pension was so comfortable and the views so sublime that we ended up adding another day just to chill in town . 

Day 6 :
Back in Basco we stayed the night before catching an early flight to Manila . 

 Cruising around the coastal roads,feeling ocean breeze and the listening to sounds of the waves was one of the best parts of this trip. Every corner in batanes is picture perfect 👌 . I recommend getting a tour package if you’re traveling with groups to save money, but if you are just a few people or don’t mind the cost and logistical challenges of doing it all yourself, there’s no better way to see this gorgeous archipelago - corner by corner, at your own pace.
