DepEd moves school opening to October 5, 2020

The Department of Education (DepEd) has postponed the class opening for the school year 2020-2021 to October 5, 2020.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones announced in a virtual press briefing on Friday, August 14.
"We trust that this is the final adjustment of the school opening. Even with the implementation of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), we will use this time to make the necessary adjustments and ensure that all preparations have been made for the successful opening of classes for School Year 2020-2021," Briones said.

This is Good news Especially in the country of the Philippines 
Because classes are extended it saves people a lot of money because the Philippines cases are rising, and the economy is crashing Postponing classes is a very big help to the Filipino Citizens
