Burnham Park 2020

Burnham Park lies in the core of Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines, wherein we got the name Burnham Park from Daniel Burnham. An American architect who designed the park and the first designs for the city at the same time. There are 12 groups inside the park, each with its charm. At its heart is the Burnham Lake or City Pond, an artificial lake intended for stylish purposes. The park played a significant role when it filled in as a position of shelter for the individuals of Baguio following an earthquake in 1990.

Things you can do:
Rent a boat and row on the lake. 🚣🏻
Ride a bike. 🚴🏻‍♀️
Walk and take a picture of the scenery. 📸

But now, since there is a pandemic, Burnham Park was closed due to the lockdown. However, months after, they opened it for the residents of Baguio. So I grabbed the chance to go and see it for myself. Rest assured, I did my best to protect myself by wearing a mask and practice social distancing.

So if you miss Burnham Park too, you can watch my video. 🥺
