Lots of women around the world are engaging in this new trend on social media: to post a black and white selfie with a caption "Challenge Accepted". I did it as well yesterday, but I thought it's just an ordinary trend for bored people during this quarantine. However, another picture came out and that's the truth behind it. 

Firstly, it actually has originated from Turkey. Yes, the country that is best known for its cultural heritage and sea turtle nesting beaches. Second, the trend isn't just a challenge, but rather a "feminist movement". This is used to voice out women's rights and power. Lots of women have been abused and not given equal rights in the aforementioned country. Therefore, people have started this challenge to show the gray area of the society. 

Lastly, it clearly proves that social media can be a powerful tool to seek support, spread awareness and to fight for the rights being deprived of. So, check your notifications and don't hesitate to participate. It's the simplest thing that can make big changes!
