When somebody give a small thing that you can ask your mind if you wanna accept that,! like for example a piece of paper with a beautiful messages, did you accept it or not? 
For me the answer is YES because they want to make you happy but the problem for us is  a thing is small so sometimes we think twice if we accept or reject ! Let say hindi gaano ka important satin so ang ginagawa natin is we cant accept it, we reject it. I remembered my boss said that even the small thing, even its not important ,you have to accept it to show the appreciation. Kasi kapag nakikita nya (the one who give that thing) na , na appreciate mo he or she always remember you na -ay gusto ko sya bigyan kasi palagi nya tinatanggap ang mga bagay na kahit maliit na appreciate  nya -. He or she will always give you even a small or big things because of your appreciation. Always think that it's a blessings from God. We have to appreciate and to be thankful for that. Kasi kahit maliit na bagay may nag bibigay sa atin. 
One thing that I've learned is Don't reject it just Accept It.
