do you want to do anything other than eating on a picnic? here are some ideas. 

1. manicures

you can bring your own mini manicure set and do your boyfriend/girlfriend's nail! either a clean up or a full on manicure with polish, it would be fun and funny as hell with the right conversations!

2. highlight a book 

you can both bring books that can be read in a span of 1-2 hours, while you're reading, highlight/encircle the lines that remind you about your s/o, then after, exchange books and read through it! it would be a great way to see how he/she views you. 

3. embroidery 

its seems like such a grandma hobby. but just having a relaxing and chill day with the person you want to be with already sounds perfect!

4. decorate cookies

prior to the picnic date, bake blank sugar cookies, make some icing and but them in a little ziplock bag, then you can pack that and bring it to a picnic! 

these are some activities that i visualize in my head, it's just something different from the usual movie, mall date. comment if you'd like a part 2!
