The world's first phase 3 trials of vaccine for COVID-19 was being held in UAE and it reached its milestone because 5,000 people have volunteered themselves for the vaccination.

The trials began in Abu Dhabi on July 16 managed by the G42 healthcare together with the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, ministry of health and prevention and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company. The vaccine was developed by Sinophram CNBG, world's 6th largest vaccine manufacturer thus, it is held in the testing center at Abu Dhabi National exhibition center, Adnec.

Over 80 nationalities have volunteered for the vaccination, it is inspired by UAE leadership's commitment to overcome the pandemic through a global collaborative effort.

They said, "We reached the 5,000 vaccinations faster than anticipated and believe that our trials of the inactivated vaccine are moving faster than comparable trials processes anywhere in the world thanks to the winning combination of national spirit of volunterism and the strength of the UAE's healthcare system"
